She’d Felt That Fear for Years — Then Something Shifted

How a simple, guided process helped one woman break free from anxiety patterns she didn’t even realize were connected.

She felt it before she even opened the door.

That familiar clench in her chest. That rush of anticipatory anxiety—like something bad was about to happen.

It didn’t make sense—this was just a routine team meeting. No confrontation. No raised voices. Nothing unusual. But her nervous system didn’t care. Her body braced anyway.

When she came to me for support with anxiety and emotional triggers, she said:

“I don’t get it. Nothing even happened yet, but my whole system is in overdrive.”

That’s when I asked her,“Is that feeling familiar?”

She nodded.“Yeah. Way too familiar.”

Then I gently asked,“When’s the first time you can remember feeling this way?”

A memory surfaced -- "Something small," she said. A teacher calling on her in 4th grade. That same rush of panic. The fear of messing up.

She hadn’t thought about it in years....

We started there.

We used Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) to access and release the emotional imprint.

And as the process unfolded, more memories surfaced -- moments when she’d felt exposed, unsafe, or suddenly on edge. Moments that didn’t make logical sense… but were deeply connected beneath the surface.

By the end of that single IEMT session, she looked and felt different. Lighter. Calmer.

A week later, she walked into another meeting. Same people. Same setting.

But this time? No clenching. No dread. Just calm.

Here’s what I want you to know:

You don’t have to dig through your past. You don’t need to talk it all out.

Once we tune into the feeling, your mind knows where to go. One memory surfaces… and the rest flows naturally.

Then, using simple guided eye movements, we help the brain process and recode the emotional response tied to that memory.

The result?

You remember the moment -- but it no longer hijacks you. The emotional charge is gone. You can think about it without spiraling, without bracing, without being pulled back into the past.

This is the power of IEMT for lasting anxiety relief.

It’s not about coping better. It’s about helping your system release the pattern completely -- gently, and for good.

Curious if this approach is right for you?

I offer free discovery calls where we can explore what’s coming up for you and whether this work can help.
